The Thicke & Lovely MISS KOI: Hip-Hop Model Feature

| November 14, 2013 | 0 Comments

Louisiana born Miss Koi is proving that the tag line “model turned actress” isn’t just a cliché to be bandied about at dinner parties. She’s making it a reality.
Miss Koi got her start as a singer in
2000 when she became a singer for national recording
artist “James Fortune & FIYA,” whom she sang with
for several years. From there she went on to become a
singer for Gary Mayes & Nu Era.
Miss Koi, who currently resides in Houston, has also experienced
success as a model for years.
Miss Koi got her start in modeling in 2004 when several photo shoots she did hit the internet, resulting in a significant and loyal fan base. Never one to follow the crowd, Miss Koi steered clear of work that would result in her being labeled a “video vixen” and carefully chose her future projects.
On September 10, 2008, KING magazine featured Miss Koi on their highly popular website in the “Pretty Young Thing” series. The response was so significant that within a week Miss Koi was featured in as the Webwatch Honey in the nationally circulated print publication, Hip Hop Weekly.
Throughout all of this, Miss Koi has kept a careful eye trained on her acting career and continued to grow in that regard. In 2009, Koi played the role of a wedding coordinator in the motion picture “Married Men And Single Women” and shortly after, followed up with more films.
She also continues to work onstage in local plays and read scripts for upcoming features.
