Taraji P. Henson Auditioned To Play Precious, The 350 lbs HIV-Positive Teenager Who Was Pregnant By Her Father

Empire’s Taraji P. Henson talks about how she unsuccessfully auditioned for Precious, the role of the 350 lbs, HIV-positive teenager who was pregnant by her father but didn’t get the part, then years later called by the same director to be considered for her dream role as Cookie on the hit show Empire.

Henson also talked about how after failing in math her dad encouraging her to be an actress , and what it was like to sing about pimps and whores at the Oscars for her upcoming cover in W Magazine.
