Sony Pictures Give Official Release Dates For Bad Boys 3 And Unexpectedly Bad Boys 4, Too

If you loved Bad Boys and the sequel: good news! The wait is finally over. After a 14 year hiatus detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett are slated to return to the silver screen. In 2017 ‘Bad Boys’ 3 will hit theaters, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence according to sources.

Sony pictures have made it official and given the green light and official release dates for Bad Boys 3 and (unexpectedly) Bad Boys 4, too, February 2017 and July 2019.

According to Joe Carnahan is in talks to direct 90’s franchise.

The American action-comedy film was produced by Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer and directed by Michael Bay in his directorial debut. It starred Martin Lawrence and Will Smith. The film was followed by a sequel in 2003, Bad Boys II.

The original film was released in 1995 and was a runaway hit, grossing $141,407,024 worldwide — $65,807,024 in North America and $75,600,000 overseas. The sequel Bad Boys 2 featuring Gabrielle Union did even better than the first grossing $273,339,556 worldwide.
