Seattle has built the NFL’s deepest and most talented roster while devoting less than $1 million per year to the starting quarterback since Wilson was drafted in 2012.

But after getting paid the salary minimum for three years as the NFL’s most under paid star, Wilson is about to be rewarded as the highest-paid.

Aaron Rodgers is currently atop the NFL’s salary structure, with a five-year, $110 million contract averaging $22 million annually. The other top paid quarterbacks are:

Ben Roethlisberger $21.85 million
Cam Newton $20.8 million
Matt Ryan $20.75 million
Joe Flacco $20.1 million
Drew Brees $20 million
Colin Kaepernick $19 million
Jay Cutler $18.1 million
Tony Romo $18 million
Eli Manning $17.5 million
Peyton Manning $19 (-4) million Manning,(taking one for the team) was set to make $19 million but is taking a 4 million pay cut to help his team financially.

Out of all the top paid quarterbacks in the league non have put their team in a better position to win the last 2 Superbowls than Russell Wilson.

The Seahawks won the NFL championship in 2014 and returned to the Superbowl again in 2015 but came inches short of defending their title.

Nevertheless, Wilson, (who is getting paid less than most back-up QB signal callers), is in the league’s bargain basement when it comes to NFL QB salaries.

Wilson posted this hot pic of Ciara on his Instagram account yesterday.

The increase in pay may be just in time too. As Russell Wilson is rumored to have a sizzling romance with pop diva Ciara. And although the starlet is down to earth don’t expect the A-list pop diva to (take one for the team) by accepting date offers from Wilson that will highlight them dining at Denny’s for the meal bargains.

The two celebrities have already dined with the president and first lady at the White House twice this year.
