Nicki Minaj ,Queen of Pop solitifies her title as she surpasses Michael Jackson with most Hot 100 hits.

According to sources, Minaj tops Billboard’s tally of artists with the most Hot 100 hits. Minaj’s new single “Anaconda” apparently carries her over into that list as her 51st Hot 100 hit as it debuts at No.19.

The King of pop , the late Jackson had accumulated a total of 50 chart hits from 1971′s “Got To Be There” to two hits this year, including “Slave to the Rhythm” and “Love Never Felt So Good,” a from-the-grave collaboration with Justin Timberlake.

However, Yahoo adds:

“Anaconda” is just Minaj’s 20th Hot 100 hit as a lead (or co-lead) artist. The rest of her hits have been featured credits. By contrast, Jackson was in the lead (or co-lead) spot on all 50 of his Hot 100 hits. Jackson could have padded his tally a little bit if he had elected to take a featured credit on Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me” (#2 in 1984) or Diana Ross’s “Eaten Alive” (#77 in 1985), but he didn’t.

TGJ reports that the distinction between Jackson and Minaj is that Jackson’s musical entry was for singles that he carried on his own with no features, unlike Minaj who had assistance for her releases.

That doesn’t take away from Minaj’s talent in any way. The rapper is still a valuable commodity in the industry and is looked at as a competitor to her female contemporaries such Diamond, Iggy Azalea, Azalea Banks, Lil Kim, Brianna Perry, Bia and her arch nemisis Remy Ma.
