The legacy of the hit Fox show ‘Empire’ continues as Deadline reports that singer/producer/actor Neyo will join the show in season two. FOX’s co-chairs Dana Walden and Gary Newman announced that Ne-Yo and Timbaland will be working together on the music. No word on if the singer will have screen time however but Neyo have some impressive acting credits under his belt in addition to a slew of music awards.

FOX executives also mentioned that the second season will consist of 18 episodes that will be cut in half with a cliffhanger in between.

The show’s second season is set to air in the fall of 2016 and it has signed up comedian Chris Rock, and musicians Lenny Kravitz and Alicia Keys to guest star in some of the episodes of the second season.

RUMOR CONTROL: The report that Zac Efron would join the cast as the 4th Lyons son is false according to show executives.
