Are people taking this whole Drake and Meek Mill beef too seriously? Or is Drake just celebrating like he just won the NBA finals.

The Canadian MC hosted his 6th annual OVO Fest in Toronto, with headliners Kevin Hart, J. Cole, Big Shawn and Drizzy himself.

He got Philly upset when he brought out the winner of the first ever rap Grammy and legendary Philly native Will Smith.

Was Drizzy throwing shade at Meek Mill or just showing a little celebrity brotherly love? either way Philly fans weren’t happy as they sounded off on twitter.

Sports Illustrated‘s Fansided asked, “The real question is why did Philadelphia native Will Smith turn his back on fellow Philly resident Meek Mill.

Was he oblivious to the beef going on at the moment and didn’t realize he was being used as a pawn by Drake?”

The logical answer to that might be: Will Smith didn’t really get involved in beefs even when he went by the name “The Fresh Prince” and was predominantly a hip-hop artist.

The idea that one of Hollywood’s most celebrated actors would take any interest in siding in a hip-hop beef anyway is a bit far-fetched.

Yet, lots of fans on twitter are interpreting this as a shot between Meek’s eyes. Although one of the tweets reports that Smith was wearing a “R.I.P. Meek Mill” t-shirt, we haven’t seen any confirmation of that.

Will this be the last weekend that Drake celebrate his victory? Or will he continue to promote and sale charged up T-Shirts. The same t-shirt he wore when he hosted the star-studded kick-ball game with LeBron James.

Or is the media just recycling headlines? I think the latter…cut it out guys!!! Meek Mill is a legitimate hip hop heavyweight who just picked a fight with the wrong dude. It happens sometimes. As for a 3rd diss track…Drake is much too coy and confident to beat a dead horse.

However I do think he conveniently rode his victory through the OVO fest but it shouldn’t go past this weekend. Drake is a gentleman. plus he’s a brilliant business man.
