Some celebrity relatives are quite obvious, like Tia and Tamera Maury or the Braxton sisters. But there are other celebrity relatives that may not be so apparent.

Check out stars with famous Hollywood relatives that may shock you. Can you see a resemblance?

Bill Bellamy & Shaquille O’Neal

Retired NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal and actor and stand-up comedian Bill Bellamy, who both hail from Newark, N. J., are second cousins. The irony is Bill Bellamy has not been a part of Shaq’s very successful venture in the comedy arena.

Redfoo & Berry Gordy

Motown legend Berry Gordy is the father of LMFAO rocker Redfoo (aka Stefan Kendal Gordy). The irony is, although his dad is one of the most successful record executives in music history, Redfoo got signed without his father’s help. He formed the electro-pop band LMFAO with his nephew Sky Blu in 2006. The duo started building a local buzz through their shows and radio play. Once they had recorded some demos, Redfoo’s friend will.i.am introduced them to Interscope head Jimmy Iovine, who gave the green light for them to be signed to Interscope/will.i.am Music.

Tracee Ellis Ross and Mom Diana Ross

Entertaining is in Tracee Ellis Ross‘s DNA—her mom is music superstar Diana Ross. But instead of singing, the Emmy-nominated actress, 44, who was always the class clown, was driven by a desire to make people laugh. Now, she’s the star of ABC’s hit Wednesday night family comedy Black-ish, playing working mom, Rainbow.

Taraji P. Henson and Matthew Henson

In 2015, Taraji P. Henson landed the role that would make her a household name when she began starring as Cookie Lyon on the Fox drama series Empire, for which she became the first African-American woman to win a Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series. She also won a Golden Globe Award, and was nominated for two Emmy Awards, in 2015 and 2016.

But Taraji P. Henson is not only a beautiful and accomplished actress, she is related to one of the most successful explorers in American history. Matthew Henson has been recognized as the first to reach the North Pole. Henson is believed to be the brother of actress Taraji P. Henson’s great-great-grandfather.

Fantasia and K-Ci & JoJo

K-Ci & JoJo of Jodeci and Fantasia are first cousins who hail from North Carolina. Prior to the start of the lockout-shortened 1998-99 basketball season, the Raptors drafted Tracy McGrady’s cousin Vince Carter. McGrady was already on the team and reports say the two became inseparable. In one interview, teammate Dee Brown reflected, “They say they’re cousins… But Siamese twins is more like it.”

Al Roker & Lenny Kravitz

In the July 2011 issue of UsWeekly, Roker said that he and Kravitz’s mother, late actress Roxie Roker ( Helen Willis character on The Jeffersons television series), were first cousins.

LisaRaye McCoy and Da Brat

Beyoncé and Solange Knowles

Tom Cruise and William Mapother

Tom Cruise and cousin William Mapother not only share a last name — Cruise was born Thomas Cruise Mapother IV — but also even kind of look a like. The TV actor (“Lost,” “The Mentalist”) has said about his famous “Mission Impossible” first cousin: “I never really worried about it. As I’ve amassed a body of work, the questions about Tom have gone away. I figured that if I did good work, I’d be seen for what I am.”

Baldwin brothers

Speaking of brothers the Baldwin brothers are a furious clan in Hollywood. Actors and brothers William Baldwin, Stephen Baldwin, Alec Baldwin and Daniel Baldwin are living proof that talent really can run in the family.

Pete Rock & Heavy D

In a TVOne “Unsung” special featuring Heavy D, DJ Pete Rock revealed that he was the late rapper’s younger cousin. Rock said that it was Heavy D’s brother Floyd who taught him how to DJ. Natives of Mount Vernon, N.Y., both D and Rock saw success in hip-hop in the ’90s.

Martin Sheen’s two sons Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez

Perhaps one of the best-known familial relations in the list, “Apocalypse Now” actor Martin Sheen’s two sons Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez both went on to have successful careers in Hollywood, with one more vocally “winning” than the other. Estevez is the proper family surname; Martin adopted “Sheen” as his stage name, which Charlie then took on as well.
