“FOX bought the whole goddamn show,” the rapper said.

50 Cent was not pleased with the 2015 BET Awards. He was specifically upset at the Best Actor award, which went to Terrence Howard, star of the FOX show Empire.

“It’s a damn shame what happened to the BET Awards,” 50 Cent says in a video posted by Say Cheese TV. “FOX bought the whole goddamn show. How you gonna have a best actor award given to Terrence Howard and not even mention Omari Hardwick?”

Hardwick is the lead in 50’s program Power, which the rapper has championed over Empire.

50 Cent could be justified in his rant if you follow the money trail, as BET is owned by the same parent company that has a controlling stake in how well Empire does.

In fact BET has not been a black owned show for quite some time. The network was indeed bought by the major media machines.

Robert L. Johnson, the cable TV executive who founded Black Entertainment Television sold it to Viacom in 2003.

Viacom is the same company that owns MTV, VH1 and have a controlling stake in CBS Corporation which owns Fox. More importantly Starz Entertainment Group which airs Power is its direct competitor.

Don’t hate the player hate the game fiddy.

Fiddy also took shots at one of the event’s performers, his Ciroc Vodka competitor Diddy.

“Motherfu*k BET,” he says. “The highlight of the whole goddamn show was Puffy busting his azz. Fu*k ’em. Fu*k ’em all.”

Puff Daddy fell and landed on his back during his performance with Bad Boy during the show.
